Adam Feather 2017 2018

Adam was born and raised in Berks County Pennsylvania.  As a point of reference, the County Seat of Berks County is Reading, Pennsylvania.

Adam attended the Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport, Pennsylvania which is affiliated with Pennsylvania State University.  He also attended New York Institute of Technology.  He received an Applied Associates in HVAC, Bachelors in Building Automation Technology and a Masters in Energy Management.

Work in the HVAC field came directly after college when he was hired by Trane and has worked at the Trane Office in Latham as an Estimator of Controls and now as a Controls Engineer.

Adam was introduced to HVAC by his father who was a boiler technician.  He would occasionally go with his father to visit boiler rooms, etc. What he enjoys most about HVAC is the process of finding solutions to problems of similar buildings, but everything is different and unique with daily challenges.

Adam was introduced to ASHRAE by Heather Maxwell while working at Trane.  ASHRAE was the place to go for information and related programs.  It was also a place to visit with people in the HVAC community.

Adam has served the Northeast Chapter of ASHRAE as the Membership Promotion Chair, Secretary, President Elect and finally as President of the Chapter in 2017-2018.  He also serves of TC 1.4 Controls Theory and Applications and TC 7.5 Smart Buildings.

As for future ASHRAE involvement, Adam looks forward to serving on the Chapter Board of Governors and being involved with YEA Activity.

Adam would like to be remembered as someone who worked to bring about a new website platform for the chapter.

Adam is married and has a wife and two children.  He enjoys musical composition, reading and home brewing.

We wish him well in his career and with ASHRAE.
