The Past Presidents & History Night will be evening of our December meeting.  All Northeast Chapter Presidents will be welcome as guests of the chapter.

The year was 1958 and the following were the officers of the Empire State Capital Chapter of ASHAE:

President:  E.J. Mahoney

1st Vice President:  M.E. Waddell 

2nd Vice President:  B.E. Mullen

Secretary-Treasurer:  E.E. Phillips

BOG: W.A. Smith, F.R. Foote and J.L. Ottenheimer

The December 10,1958 meeting was held at Fords’ Tavern in Albany, NY.  President Mahoney announced that the ASHAE-ASRE merger had been passed by formal vote of the voting membership of both societies.  The local ASRE chapter is to be extended a formal invitation to join us at our February meeting.

The speaker was Miss Beatrice A. Hicks, President of Newark Controls who gave a talk on the effects of shock, vibration, acceleration and temperature on the design of air craft controls.

That is the way it was on December 10, 1958.
