Come Join ASHRAE for the March dinner meeting on: Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at the Italian American Community Center. Registration starts at 5:30 PM.

March meeting is the Life Member Night. We would like to invite ASHRAE NE life members to attend the meeting at no cost. Life members, when you register online select "PAY AT Door" option for payment.

Happy Hour: 5:45 PM to 6:45 PM

Dinner and the presentation: 6:45 PM.

This month’s presentation will be " Smoke Control Overview-Design Considerations & Fire Alarm System Integration as presented by Theodore Firnstein.

Theodore Firnstein Bio: 

Ted Firnstein is the Business Development Manager, Siemens Industry

 For the past 5 years, Ted has worked as the Business Development Manager for all of upstate New York & Northern Vermont. Responsibilities include supporting 12 new construction & service sales executives with technical expertise and knowledge to enhance the value proposition to our customers; maintains technical competence of the company’s products, applications and services; and represents Siemens in industry associations, professional organizations, and affiliations.

" Smoke Control Overview-Design Considerations & Fire Alarm System Integration

"Review of smoke control vs. smoke management systems. Highlight the codes and standards that affect the system operation and design parameters.  Discuss the goals of these various systems from smoke detection, damper activation and modulation to fan control and how to properly interface them together to work as a single system. Testing requirements and ongoing review are covered to make sure the system works today and into the future whenever it is needed.

Non-Member: $40

PDH: +$5

Without prior registration: +$5

Please remember to register for the March meeting online through our website. We encourage everyone to register on or before Friday, March 20th, 2020. We are welcoming everyone who shows up for the meeting without prior registration but an additional $5 will be added to the regular attendance fees.
