Join ASHRAE for our first lunch meeting of the season: Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at the Italian American Community Center. Registration starts at 11:30 AM, lunch and the presentation are set to begin at 11:45 AM. This month’s presentation will be on the topic of “Successful Commissioning Process” as presented by Khaled A. Yousef.
Khaled A. Yousef Bio:
Mr. Yousef has over twenty-five years of comprehensive building heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) & energy systems experience. He supports customers in the areas of energy savings performance contracts, energy audits, peak load reduction, building optimization, Measurement and Verification (M&V), commissioning (Cx), system inspections, end-use data validation, analysis and verification, system troubleshooting, energy master planning, engineering economics, advanced biomass heating systems, thermal energy storage, geothermal heat pump systems, cogeneration, district heating and cooling systems, NYSERDA programs support, and independent technology and energy program evaluations.
Mr. Yousef served on the New York State Energy Planning Board as a Member & Representative of the Temporary President of the NYS Senate 2010-2011. He is a licensed NYS PE (Mechanical Engineering), Member of ASHRAE, AEE, IGSHPA, USGBC LEED Accredited Professional, and served as an Advisory Council Member for the New York Collaborative of High-Performance Schools (NY-CHPS). He is a recipient of multiple ASHRAE awards for performance in ASHRAE chapter officer positions.
Successful Commissioning Process
"This presentation will provide an overview of the proper commissioning (Cx) process starting with what is Cx? It presents the most known six (6) types of Cx (Fundamental Cx, Continuous Cx, Ongoing Cx, Re-Cx, Retro-Cx, & Cx Light or Custom Cx), the 4 proper steps of the Cx process, how to plan for Cx, the Cx team’s composition and their Roles and Responsibilities; it then offers an intro to the required checklists, forms and tests to conduct proper Cx, and how to plan for and generate a beneficial Cx report for existing and new buildings and systems targeting high performance."
